As of mid-June: strawberries are on now (mid-June to mid-July). Raspberries begin around June 18. Blueberries open at most farms in early July and run through late August. Blackcurrants run late June through July at organic growers.
Most Fraser Valley blueberry farms open between July 1 and July 7 and pick through late August. Klaassen Farms in Chilliwack opens July 7; Prairie Fruit Farm runs July 1 to August 25. Always check the farm's own site or call before driving out.
Yes. Field conditions change overnight — a farm can pause u-pick mid-week when a field is picked out and reopen days later. Every entry on this board shows the date it was last verified, and the farm's own site or phone is always the final word.
Several farms ask you to bring your own containers or charge extra for boxes (Blueberry Junction and Bumbleberry Farms among them). Bring buckets or reusable containers to be safe; most farms refuse plastic bags.
